La Petite Maison's Drink – How to Make It

We present a simplified version of a drink from the seasonal drinks list. It's a batch premix that is loaded with tastes of the Christmas time, rendering it ideal for hosting a festive gathering. Save the extra cordial to use in brunch beverages, puddings, or to mix another batch of the drink.

The Bikini Cocktail

Serves 10 servings

To make the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)

300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g fine sugar

Ingredients for the Premix (makes 850ml, to serve 10)

400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (from the recipe above)
Whole cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing

Directions

To prepare the Citrus Syrup: Put every ingredients inside a saucepan, bring to a gentle boil, mixing until the sugar dissolves. Then, turn off the burner allowing it to reach room temperature fully. Transfer into a sealable bottle, close it and refrigerate it in the fridge, where it will keep for around four weeks.

To make Premix: Pour the specified spirits and syrup in a big jug, allow it to infuse for 60 minutes, then filter it best through a fine cloth, making it perfectly clear.

To serve: Measure 85ml of the batch mix to a stirring glass filled with ice, and agitate lightly for a minute to chill. Pour into a frosted cocktail glass or a similar vessel, garnish with a few cranberries adding the final touch using a brief mist of mandarin oil above the glass.
